Introducing 2021 Team Fairway
Hello everyone and welcome to our first blog post! We are very excited to announce our Team of talented young players that we have decided to have the honor on sponsoring for 2021 and beyond! We feel as though these players will represent us well on and off the course and we couldn't be any happier to help them along their disc golf journey. So without further ado, here is our team for 2021!
Elijah Bickel
First up on our list is our first pro team member and highest rated player in the state of Indiana, Elijah Bickel. At just 18 years old he has definitely begun to make a name for himself by playing many big events and winning the Indiana State Championships multiple years in a row. Boasting a rating of 1021, he is one of the best young players around with a bright future in the sport. In the months to come, he will be playing many big events all across the country and competing against the world's best players. His goals for the 2021 season are to win his first A-Tier event and place well in the rest of the tour events. He also wants to continue to grow the sport by running leagues, clinics, and junior events when he can to help people get into the sport and start competing. He eventually hopes to be one of the best players in the world someday, with lots of hard work and dedication to help him achieve that. Tanner Boggs
Next up on the list is our first tournament team member, and amazing young player, Tanner Boggs. He was introduced to the sport early on but didn't start playing competitively until just over a year ago. After beginning to play competitively he has quickly gotten better over the last year. From lacing drives to making big putts, this kid is definitely one to watch. Boasting a rating of 952, he has increased over 90 points in just a year's time. Add 6 wins to that and he is off to an impressive start! At just 15 years old, this young man has a very bright future in this sport. In the coming months he plans to attend Junior Worlds and play lots of tournaments throughout the state of Indiana. His goals for 2021 are to place well at Junior Worlds, continue to gain consistency along with improving his rating, and to eventually gain a major sponsor. As for long term, he hopes to eventually turn pro and start touring in the future. We wish him luck for the 2021 season and look forward to watching him progress throughout the year. We believe in him and know that with hard work and dedication he will achieve his goals and more! Kyle Hoover
Up next on our list is our second tournament team member, and another young stud, Kyle Hoover. Kyle has been playing disc golf for 3 years. After being introduced to the sport, Kyle took off with it. From playing casual rounds to showing up at doubles league in a snowstorm, he was really dedicated. He quickly got better and developed a big arm and a great putting game. At just 17 years old, his distance and arm speed is very impressive, he can throw bombs with the best of them. He has also placed well in tournaments and picked up a win in his first two years of competing. In the coming months Kyle plans to play as many events as he can throughout the state of Indiana. His goals for 2021 include improving his consistency, picking up a couple of wins, and eventually picking up a major sponsor. As for long term goals, he hopes to continue getting better and hopefully become a pro. With continued practice and dedication, nothing can stop him from achieving those goals. Grayson Berkheiser
And last but not least is our third tournament team member, and yet another young stud, Grayson Berkheiser! Grayson has been playing disc golf for 3 years. Although he admittely wasn't the type to play sports much, he really clicked with disc golf and was a natural at it from the start. After picking it up and learning fairly quickly, he began to play some tournament. He has been impressive so far, winning the Peru Disc Golf Junior Championship two years in a row and boasting a steadily improving rating of 931. He's just an all around smooth player with a well rounded game. He plays smart and does nothing too flashy. In the coming months he plans to compete at Junior Worlds and a few other events in the state of Indiana. His goals for 2021 are to place well at Worlds, continue improving all aspects of his game, and to win his third junior title in Peru. As for the long term, he hopes to continue to get better and hopefully turn it into a career. With continued dedication, that is definitely possible for Grayson. We wish him luck in his 2021 season amd we are very excited to watch him compete throughout the year. We feel like this is the start to building an awesome team of players throughout the coming years. As time goes on we will be looking to add to our team of sponsored players.
